Haight Village Launches New Website

Haight Village, Rockford, Illinois' first National Register Historic District proudly announced the launch of their new website in March of 2005. Haight Village residents are a diverse and active community in Rockford, volunteering their time to ensure the beauty of their neighborhood and the growth of Rockford as a whole.
The website gives Haight Village the opportunity to offer a convenient, centralized location to proudly display the rich history of one of the oldest neighborhoods in Rockford for all to see. One of the more valuable features is an easy to use Events Calendar, offering not just Haight Village Residents the opportunity to see what is going for their neghborhood, but allowing people from all over the chance to take part in the wonderful events that Haight Village hosts every year. The News page is sure to provide an excellent resource for detailing upcoming events and wrapping them up once they have passed. There is also a Contact Page for those of us that do not live in Haight Village to contact Village residents to find out more information on those events or to find out how they can become involved in one of Rockford's more active residential communities.
Plans for the future of the website include a group of pages detailing the rich and splendid history of many of the houses throughout the Village. Work has already begun to compile every bit of information that can be found from many sources to make this possible. The new addition promises to be a valuable resource for not only Haight Village, but for Rockford as well.
Many other possibilities are being considered for the future of the website so keep your eye out for what comes next. The one certainty is that Haight Village's website will continue to grow along with the attention paid to this neighborhood.
